Psalm 127
A song of ascents. Of Solomon.
1 Unless the LORD builds the house,
its builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city,
the watchmen stand guard in vain.
2 In vain you rise early
and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat—
for he grants sleep to those he loves.
3 Sons are a heritage from the LORD,
children a reward from him.
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are sons born in one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their enemies in the gate.
I spent the day picking peaches with my family.
I am feeling very blessed, very content, and think my night will be one of blissful sleep. God has surrounded me with love, given us sons for our heritage.
I don’t know about enemies at the gate- but I sure feel well provided for with peaches in the box and sons and a husband to carry them.
Looks like everyone had a good time. the boys seem to enjoy the peaches. How was the picnic?
The peaches are beautiful- but not quite ripe, yet, so…not as sweet yet as they will be soon, I hope.
What a beautiful post. I love the passage and the corresponding pictures. Nicely done.
I agree, a beautiful post. I love finding little spiritual pick-me-ups like this! Really I hope this blog is a blessing to all who read it.
Thank you, ladies! I love feedback on these posts.
They don’t get nearly the comments as the bread and craft posts.
