Spring view

009

I have been so incapacitated with this sciatica.

It just won’t go away and it flairs up and catches me when I’m not expecting it.

So I’m taking advantage of the quiet moments when it is biding its time,

planning an attack.

I went out and  took some pictures the other day.

AND made it to a greenhouse-(Quailcrest, outside of Wooster).

For me- Spring means greenhouses as well as new growth.

I love the smells, the humidity inside the structure, the

drippy atmosphere, THE DIRT!!!

So – without further ado, here is MY springview.

002

lily of the valley, trillium, bloodroot, and wild geranium.

003

narcissus

005

Virginia blue bells

008

ajuga, or bugleweed

010

flowering quince

011

a yardfull of violets-

012just waiting to be picked!

And greenhouse- GLorious greenhouse!

I bought herbs and lavender- I just can’t wait to get it into the ground!

(DIRT- MARVELOUS- Dirt!)

Today it is raining- but hopefully not ALL day!

Isn’t Spring grand?

  1. Fabulous to see the dirt producing again and lifting the spirits. Reminds me I have to plant some purple potatoes that someone kindly sent me to try and pot up seedlings. I love greenhouses, they are so intense and warm and moist. Years ago I was in the Muttart in Edmonton one Easter, all brown and dry outside and inside an English horsechestnut tree in full flower, a friend far from home. Magic places, greenhouses!

  2. Beautiful pictures! I love Spring , but not this wet. We need a few sunny days to dry out. I hope and pray you are feeling better soon.

  3. It really is nice to share in the climates from afar, isn’t it?
I can’t tell you how often the spring and summer pictures from Oz have comforted my winter coarsened senses.
Thanks for the kind wishes about the nerve pain. It is V E R Y slowly getting better. It is worse overnight and after sitting for a while. 🙁
