{"id":7616,"date":"2014-04-14T13:05:36","date_gmt":"2014-04-14T17:05:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.heidiannie.com\/?p=7616"},"modified":"2014-04-14T20:53:48","modified_gmt":"2014-04-15T00:53:48","slug":"meyer-lemon-and-cardamom-cookiesbiscuits-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.heidiannie.com\/?p=7616","title":{"rendered":"Meyer lemon and cardamom cookies\/biscuits- recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is one of those cookies that you taste and seek the recipe for &#8211; immediately!<\/p>\n<p>I love cardamom and I love lemon- so when I saw this recipe I went for it.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7617\" style=\"width: 594px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/0081.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7617\" class=\"size-large wp-image-7617\" title=\"008\" src=\"http:\/\/www.heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/0081-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"876\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-7617\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Meyer lemon and Cardamom tea biscuits.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"ingr-first\" class=\"list ingredients clrfix\">\n<h2>ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"col1\">\n<li class=\"ingredient\"><em>9 <\/em>ounces\u00a0 all purpose flour (about 1 3\/4 cups), sifted<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\"><em>2 <\/em>teaspoons ground cardamom<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\"><em>1 1\/2 <\/em>teaspoons baking powder<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">Zest of 4 Meyer lemons<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">pinch of sea salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"col2\">\n<li class=\"ingredient\"><em>1\/2 <\/em>cup powdered sugar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\"><em>8 <\/em>tablespoons butter, at room temperature<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\"><em>1 <\/em>cup granulated sugar<a class=\"crosslink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.foodterms.com\/encyclopedia\/sugar\/index.html\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\"><em>2 <\/em>extra-large eggs<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\"><em><\/em>pure vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\"><\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\"><strong>Method<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">Preheat oven to 375F degrees.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">Place flour, cardamom,baking powder,lemon zest and salt into bowl<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">and mix together with whip, then set aside.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">Cream butter and granulated sugar together until creamy and very smooth.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">This is a very important step- don&#8217;t stint on it- use a mixer if necessary but<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">the light texture of the cookies is dependent on this step!<a href=\"http:\/\/www.heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/010.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-7618\" title=\"010\" src=\"http:\/\/www.heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/010-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"388\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\"><strong><\/strong> Scrape down the bowl and add eggs, one at a time , beating well after each one, then add the vanilla and mix well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">Scoop the cookies out into small balls and roll in powdered sugar and place on cooking sheet lined with parchment paper &#8211; about 1 1\/2 inches apart.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">Bake for 12-14 minutes, until golden but not quite brown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"ingr-first\" class=\"list ingredients clrfix\">Cool on rack and store in air fast container.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/007.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-7619\" title=\"007\" src=\"http:\/\/www.heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/007-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"388\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"list ingredients clrfix\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is one of those cookies that you taste and seek the recipe for &#8211; immediately!
