border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"001\" border=\"0\" alt=\"001\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/001_thumb2.jpg\" width=\"589\" height=\"394\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We had an afternoon tea for my niece and her family today.<\/p>\n<p>I used an ice cream scoop and made watermelon balls that I served in a water pitcher.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/0021.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"002\" border=\"0\" alt=\"002\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/002_thumb1.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"560\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then cleaned a pineapple and cut it into spears which I placed in the empty<\/p>\n<p>melon \u2013 with the pineapple crown on top with coconut slices and mint leaves<\/p>\n<p>to garnish.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/003.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"003\" border=\"0\" alt=\"003\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/003_thumb.jpg\" width=\"464\" height=\"311\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Chocolate meringues,<a href=\"http:\/\/figjamandlimecordial.com\/2010\/07\/23\/chocolate-meringues\/\">using Celia&#8217;s recipe!<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/0042.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"004\" border=\"0\" alt=\"004\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/004_thumb2.jpg\" width=\"471\" height=\"315\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cranberry and almond Welsh scones-<a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/2010\/08\/lavender-culinary-and-otherwise-and-a-recipe-or-two\/\" target=\"_blank\">you can find the basic recipe here- just substitute craisins and sliced almonds for the lavender.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/0051.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"007\" border=\"0\" alt=\"007\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/007_thumb1.jpg\" width=\"440\" height=\"658\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Basmati rice and pine nut and mint meatballs with Hawaiian barbeque sauce!<\/p>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<p>Served with hot Darjeeling tea and ginger and lemon iced tea- it was a great<\/p>\n<p>menu- a wonderful visit- and we had a great time visiting and snacking.<\/p>\n<p>I really wish I could sit down with all my blog friends and share a cup of tea<\/p>\n<p>and a plateful of goodies.&#160; My niece, Martha, <a href=\"http:\/\/theweinhardts.blogspot.com\/\">blogs at The Weinhardts<\/a> , and I<\/p>\n<p>haven\u2019t seen her in over a year, so it was like sitting down with a blogger<\/p>\n<p>friend and sharing recipes (she brought me a pretzel roll that she promises<\/p>\n<p>to put up the recipe for on her blog soon!)<\/p>\n<p>So \u2013 I was thinking about all of you, my internet friends, as I was preparing this<\/p>\n<p>food- and if we could I\u2019d love to have you all over to tea!<\/p>\n<p>(Although we actually met at my sister Cynthia\u2019s house!
