<\/a><\/p>\nI wasn\u2019t very encouraging to start out with- it looked sloppy and rough.<\/p>\n
I had intended to add a lot of architectural points- in fact- I wanted to<\/p>\n add a gable and put the house up several inches off of the base with stairs coming<\/p>\n down and I just ran out of time.<\/p>\n I designed the roof with white chocolate and royal icing.<\/p>\n Then I added the porch and whipped up some more royal icing- and pasted it all<\/p>\n together- covered up the edges with royal icing- and-<\/p>\n added some landscaping.<\/p>\n The end result is not bad. <\/p>\n The gingerbread competition is tomorrow.<\/p>\n I\u2019ll let you know how that all goes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I started on the gingerbread house this morning.
