Actually- I\u2019m starting out with \u2013 Outside my kitchen window!<\/p>\n

The sky last night was a riot of colors- this is pale by comparison-<\/p>\n

but I can\u2019t seem to get the whole scheme of color to show up when<\/p>\n

I\u2019m posed behind the camera.  It was so lovely!<\/p>\n

I\u2019m geared up for Christmas- here are a couple of the \u201cSanta Bags\u201d<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been knitting to hold the goodies I\u2019m making!<\/p>\n

In my kitchen\u2026<\/p>\n

\"002\"<\/a><\/p>\n

a boxful of goodies ready to send to my secret Santa exchange-<\/p>\n

lavender wands and sachets, felted handmade soap and crocheted<\/p>\n

dish cloths.<\/p>\n

In my kitchen\u2026<\/p>\n

\"005\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Dinner!  Italian sausage and sauce over bow  tie pasta with avocado and garlic bread.<\/p>\n

In my kitchen\u2026<\/p>\n

TWO birthday cakes for my husband\u2019s birthday!<\/p>\n

\"011\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Red velvet layer cake with salted caramel chocolate garnish and a chocolate crazy <\/p>\n

cake with dark chocolate and peppermint crushed on top.<\/p>\n

In my kitchen\u2026<\/p>\n

herbs for a kitchen holiday wreath.<\/p>\n

\"017\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Wire them together- parsley,rosemary, thyme,fennel,sage, and bay leaf-<\/p>\n

Shape into a circle- add a bow.(I just noticed the old bandage on my thumb- sorry.)<\/p>\n

\"022\"<\/a>\"024\"<\/a><\/p>\n

and hang up in your kitchen.  When it dries out- you can sprinkle the herbs into your recipes-<\/p>\n

\"025\"<\/a><\/p>\n

or take off the bow and toss the entire wreath into a soup pot!<\/p>\n

are fruitcakes, getting their last basting of brandy!<\/p>\n

In my  kitchen\u2026<\/p>\n

are roasted nuts packed in honey! <\/p>\n

I got the idea for this from the Bush Gourmet jar that my niece, Meredith,<\/p>\n

sent me.  Delicious- but I\u2019m an American and needed a little extra salt to finish up<\/p>\n

the flavor- so I asked her to send me the honey and I added salted roasted nuts<\/p>\n

to this honey!  These are so good- I made up a lot so I could bear to give <\/p>\n

some away as Christmas gifts.<\/p>\n

In my kitchen\u2026<\/p>\n

taking up valuable space on my kitchen table is this paper pile.  I started <\/p>\n

making my own Christmas cards years ago- and try as I might- I just can\u2019t send<\/p>\n

out boxed cards anymore.  Although I have drastically cut down on my Christmas<\/p>\n

card list- I\u2019ve got to get these finished and send them off.<\/p>\n

In my kitchen\u2026<\/p>\n

\"038\"<\/a><\/p>\n

is this book my sister-in-law gave me.  I\u2019d dearly love a masonry oven<\/p>\n

outside my kitchen door.  I\u2019ve been reading and trying to figure out<\/p>\n

how to make this happen- but, well- it doesn\u2019t look like it will happen<\/p>\n

anytime soon.<\/p>\n

So I took a picture of it next to my wooden tree to share with you!<\/p>\n
