<\/a><\/p>\nContainers are good for flowers- especially geraniums.<\/p>\n
And they are pretty good for lettuce\u2026<\/p>\n
Yesterday-<\/p>\n Last week\u2026 it is growing pretty well- I thinned it out some<\/p>\n yesterday and made a great fresh lettuce salad for dinner.<\/p>\n And tomatoes seem to do pretty well in containers, too.<\/p>\n This tomato shows a weeks growth- and the other plants<\/p>\n are putting on buds and small little tomatoes.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The peppers are doing all right in the containers, too.<\/p>\n Even the cheddar cauliflower is growing in its pot.<\/p>\n Which is very good, since the rabbits have eaten all the leaves<\/p>\n off of the ones I planted in the ground.<\/p>\n I think I am more of a container-pot gardener than a bounteous<\/p>\n bed gardener.\u00a0 Maybe\u00a0 <\/em>I just don\u2019t have green fingers- but with<\/p>\n the pots doing so well- I\u2019m blaming the soil.<\/p>\n So- How does your garden grow?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I do not have good soil- I\u2019ve been putting in bags of peat and loads of manure for years now and I STILL don\u2019t have good soil.\u00a0 I should have dug up the entire garden and filled it with compost … Continue reading <\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/p>\n
