1<\/sup> God calls the judges into his courtroom, he puts all the judges in the dock. Judgment awaits. <\/em><\/p>\n The world didn\u2019t end yesterday at 6 PM.<\/em><\/p>\n Were you dressed up for the rapture?<\/em><\/p>\n Predictions have been made since Christ <\/em><\/p>\n was raised up on a cloud in the view of 500 followers.<\/em><\/p>\n Many seem to neglect that Jesus said that only God knows the<\/em><\/p>\n hour of Christ’s return.\u00a0 So men\u00a0 keep setting<\/em><\/p>\n dates and waiting on mountain tops and those who<\/em><\/p>\n don\u2019t believe keep on scoffing.<\/em><\/p>\n BUT \u2013 judgment is coming.<\/em><\/p>\n I particularly like this psalm in the words of The Message.<\/em><\/p>\n NIV and KJV and many other translations use \u2018gods\u2019 instead <\/em><\/p>\n of judges and it is confusing in today\u2019s mindset.<\/em><\/p>\n Here we look at the way justice was set up by God.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201d You’re here to defend the defenseless, I like the idea of \u201cjudges in the dock\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n We are responsible for our actions.<\/em><\/p>\n We are responsible for our judgments.<\/em><\/p>\n We are responsible to care for the defenseless.<\/em><\/p>\n And judgment day is coming.<\/em><\/p>\n It just wasn\u2019t yesterday.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Psalm 82 An Asaph Psalm 1 God calls the judges into his courtroom, he puts all the judges in the dock. 2-4 “Enough! \nyou’ve let the wicked get away with murder.
\nYou’re here to defend the defenseless,
\nto make sure that underdogs get a fair break;
\nYour job is to stand up for the powerless,
\nand prosecute all those who exploit them.”
\n5<\/sup> Ignorant judges! Head-in-the-sand judges!
\nThey haven’t a clue to what’s going on.
\nAnd now everything’s falling apart,
\nthe world’s coming unglued.
\n6-7<\/sup> “I commissioned you judges, each one of you,
\ndeputies of the High God,
\nBut you’ve betrayed your commission
\nand now you’re stripped of your rank, busted.”
