Ha \u2013ha!  Not this far back!  My Uncle Adam and my mother in 1920.<\/em><\/p>\n

Yesterday I got a call asking about my mother\u2019s married status in <\/p>\n

1994.  It was for an improperly filled out land deed transaction and<\/p>\n

the clerk just wanted to fill in the missing information.<\/p>\n

I gave her what she needed and the call was over in just a couple of <\/p>\n

minutes.  But I have been skimming around in those years now- <\/p>\n

looking at the past.  Rethinking and remembering.<\/p>\n

Here she is again in 1935- about 17 years old.<\/em><\/p>\n

My parents anniversary is coming up on May 6th.  When he died,<\/p>\n

they had been married for 32 years.   She lived another 34 years as<\/p>\n

a widow- not interested in marrying again- she said there was no<\/p>\n

one else she could love like she did my father.<\/p>\n

And here they are- she is about 32 here- so around-<\/em>  I don\u2019t know-<\/p>\n

my brain isn\u2019t up to math today.<\/p>\n

But there they are- in love- facing life and death together.<\/p>\n

I miss my parents.<\/p>\n

They were brave and beautiful.<\/p>\n

They lived through tumultuous times and survived.<\/p>\n

They loved and lost and won and gave their children<\/p>\n

a firm base to grow upon.<\/p>\n

And now I\u2019M Grandma.<\/p>\n
