( So is sciatica, but this is on a different level of pain.)&#160; <\/p>\n<p>I need to have some dough raising somewhere to make me feel whole.<\/p>\n<p>And these made me feel a whole lot better!&#160; <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-left-style: none\" class=\"wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile\" alt=\"Smile\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/wlEmoticon-smile1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I really didn\u2019t follow a recipe-<\/p>\n<p>I boiled a small potato, mashed it up and added 1-2 tsps of yeast when the water<\/p>\n<p>cooled sufficiently.&#160; Then I added 1\/2 cup sugar and stirred it up and let the whole pan <\/p>\n<p>rest to proof the yeast.<\/p>\n<p>I added enough flour ( 3 to 5 cups) to get a stiff dough, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of cinnamon<\/p>\n<p>and 1\/2 cup soft butter and kneaded it all together. <\/p>\n<p> I chopped up a slice or two of crystallized ginger and&#160; cup currants<\/p>\n<p>and added them at the end of the kneading process, so they were incorporated in the dough.<\/p>\n<p>Then- I went to the couch to rest my sore leg and back for about an hour or so.<\/p>\n<p>(After putting the dough in an oiled bowl and covering it.)<\/p>\n<p>Then after the dough was almost doubled in size, I rolled it into small balls of uniform<\/p>\n<p>size and placed them in a round cake pan.&#160; Allowing it to raise for another hour and a half-<\/p>\n<p>and then baked them at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/0062.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"006\" border=\"0\" alt=\"006\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/006_thumb2.jpg\" width=\"244\" height=\"164\" \/><\/a>Then I let them cool and mixed up some icing<\/p>\n<p>sugar and half an half and drizzled crosses on each bun.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/0082.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none;
