When he pretended to be insane before Abimelek, who drove him away, and he left.<\/strong><\/p>\n 1<\/sup> I will extol the LORD at all times; 4<\/sup> I sought the LORD, and he answered me; 8<\/sup> Taste and see that the LORD is good; 15<\/sup> The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, 17<\/sup> The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; 19<\/sup> The righteous person may have many troubles, 21<\/sup> Evil will slay the wicked; It isn\u2019t filled with \u201d praise the Lord-s\u201d after every stanza.<\/em><\/p>\n It isn\u2019t so much a description of God\u2019s many attributes.<\/em><\/p>\n It isn\u2019t a lesson in Israel\u2019s history.<\/em><\/p>\n This psalm is a heartfelt song of thanks.<\/em><\/p>\n David wrote it in an acrostic form (each stanza starts with a<\/em><\/p>\n letter of the Hebrew alphabet) and each one seems to be said<\/em><\/p>\n with a sigh of relief at his narrow escape from Saul, King of\u00a0 Israel,<\/em><\/p>\n who was intent on David\u2019s death AND at then avoiding the <\/em><\/p>\n traps set for him by Abimilek\u2019s advisors.<\/em><\/p>\n David, in verses 1-14:<\/em><\/p>\n extolls, glories and glorifies the Lord.<\/em><\/p>\n He seeks, looks, calls, tastes,and fears the Lord.<\/em><\/p>\n And he gathers, preaches, teaches,counsels and advises all<\/em><\/p>\n that will listen to learn from his experiences.. <\/em><\/p>\n In verses 15 through 22, he shares the wonderful<\/em><\/p>\n life giving and saving witness of the Lord at work<\/em><\/p>\n in the lives of His children.<\/em><\/p>\n We learn that God\u2019s eyes and ears are constantly alert<\/em><\/p>\n to those who love Him.\u00a0 That He will protect and deliver<\/em><\/p>\n and rescue His servants.<\/em><\/p>\n This psalm is one big THANK YOU, LORD!<\/em><\/p>\n I like it.\u00a0 I have been in a rough spot, in need of rescue<\/em><\/p>\n and the Lord did exactly that. <\/em><\/p>\n And this is the correct response.<\/em><\/p>\n I have also been in a tough place and the Lord held my <\/em><\/p>\n hand and walked me through it.<\/em><\/p>\n And this is the correct response.<\/em><\/p>\n I have also been alone and abandoned and afraid and the<\/em><\/p>\n Lord spoke to my heart and gave me strength.<\/em><\/p>\n And this is the correct response.<\/em><\/p>\n And I have been angry and resentful and wondering why<\/em><\/p>\n the Lord doesn\u2019t rescue me.<\/em><\/p>\n And He has guided me through that, as well.<\/em><\/p>\n And the response to that is <\/em><\/p>\n Thank you, Lord.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Psalm 34 Of David.
