Hampsta’ Hip Hop<\/a><\/p>\n This psalm reminds me of that commercial.<\/em><\/p>\n There are choices in life.<\/em><\/p>\n (\u201c\u2026you can get with this or you can get with that-<\/em><\/p>\n I think you\u2019ll get with this for this is where it\u2019s at\u201d)<\/em><\/p>\n We can live a life that is exemplary before God- <\/em><\/p>\n (\u201c<\/em> I have kept myself from the ways of the violent or we can choose our reward in this life and be like the wicked <\/em><\/p>\n who fill their bellies or like their descendants who gorge themselves’ on it.<\/em><\/p>\n I don\u2019t often hear hip hop songs when reading the Psalms,<\/em><\/p>\n but do you hear it?<\/em><\/p>\n You can get with this (choose to live according to the statutes and laws of<\/em><\/p>\n God) or you can get with that ( searching out ways to get ahead of others, even <\/em><\/p>\n to the point of their destruction in order to survive and win here in this life!)<\/em><\/p>\n I hope \u201cyou get with this for this where it\u2019s at.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n God\u2019s truth is real.\u00a0 And it is out there.<\/p>\n Sometimes the images are a little more out there than we are<\/p>\n comfortable with, but listen to the cadence of David\u2019s psalm<\/p>\n and you can almost hear him singing a little hip hop with his harp.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Psalm 17 A prayer of David. 1 Hear me, LORD, my plea is just; listen to my cry.
