1<\/sup> The earth is the LORD\u2019s, and everything in it, 3<\/sup> Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? 5<\/sup> They will receive blessing from the LORD 7<\/sup> Lift up your heads, you gates; This is one of my favorite psalms.<\/em><\/p>\n The imagery of the ancient doors lifting up their heads<\/em><\/p>\n with the gates so that the King of glory may come in<\/em><\/p>\n has always held my attention. <\/em><\/p>\n Not once, but twice the gates and doors are lifted for<\/em><\/p>\n the King of glory.<\/em><\/p>\n And who is this King of glory?<\/em><\/p>\n Who is the King of glory, we ask once again-<\/em><\/p>\n the LORD Almighty.<\/em><\/p>\n The Lord who owns the earth and everything in it.<\/em><\/p>\n The Lord, our maker. <\/em><\/p>\n Almighty- strong in battle.<\/em><\/p>\n The King of Glory.<\/em><\/p>\n Our father.<\/em><\/p>\n Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Psalm 24 Of David. Who may stand in his holy place?
4<\/sup> The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.<\/p>\n
and vindication from God their Savior.
6<\/sup> Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, God of Jacob.<\/p>\n
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
8<\/sup> Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
the LORD mighty in battle.
9<\/sup> Lift up your heads, you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10<\/sup> Who is he, this King of glory?
The LORD Almighty\u2014
he is the King of glory.<\/p>\n
