Sub zero temperatures.<\/p>\n

This is not about the weather.  Or at least, not complaining about the <\/p>\n

weather.  But we have been going through a cold snap.<\/p>\n

My rhododendren is partially encased in ice.<\/p>\n

In fact there is a symphony of ice sculpture around the house.<\/p>\n

\"004\"<\/a>\"005\"<\/a>\"006\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"003\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Even my glass bowl of marbles is frozen in place.<\/p>\n

So I\u2019m spending a lot of time in my kitchen.<\/p>\n

Where I can be warm inside and out! \"Smile\"<\/p>\n

\"007\"<\/a>\"008\"<\/a>\"010\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There is nothing like beef stew and dumplings with fresh bread to warm you up!<\/p>\n

\"011\"<\/a>\"012\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And if you want to warm up your kitchen, make a batch of granola- nutty and grainy-<\/p>\n

salty and sweet- baked for 4 hours at 275 degrees F !   It makes the kitchen toasty and <\/p>\n

the aroma is just plain wonderful!  Bakeries don\u2019t smell this good!!!<\/p>\n

I could put up recipes.<\/p>\n

Do you want them?<\/p>\n

Because I\u2019d RATHER show you some pictures of buttons.<\/p>\n

I collect buttons.  Or I did.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve used them in a lot of projects.<\/p>\n

Like wreaths\u2026<\/p>\n

And pins and trees-<\/p>\n

I just can\u2019t find my button box right now.<\/p>\n

And that is frustrating.<\/p>\n

Kind of like hanging with icicles- cold and drippy with only a puddle at the end.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m going back to my craft room to look again.<\/p>\n
