But especially when it is cold.<\/p>\n<p>AND it is cold.&#160; 10 degrees F this morning- with expected snow showers<\/p>\n<p>-later turning into an icy coating.&#160; Brr!&#160; We need some comfort food-badly!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/0012.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"001\" border=\"0\" alt=\"001\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/001_thumb2.jpg\" width=\"244\" height=\"164\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Start off sauteeing an onion in a tablespoon of oil.<\/p>\n<p>Most of my recipes for soups and main dishes start out that way.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>1 onion, diced<\/p>\n<p> 6 to 8 chicken pieces- small breasts,thighs and drumsticks<\/p>\n<p>1 to 2 TBS. olive oil<\/p>\n<p>3 T<strong>BS Hungarian paprika- I like the smoked rather than the sweet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 1\/2 cups chicken broth<\/p>\n<p>sliced carrots- about 3 large<\/p>\n<p>2 ribs of celery, sliced small<\/p>\n<p>1 package frozen peas<\/p>\n<p>Spaetzle <a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/?p=998\">, recipe here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/0032.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"003\" border=\"0\" alt=\"003\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/003_thumb2.jpg\" width=\"244\" height=\"164\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Place chicken in pan, and sprinkle with s+p to taste,<\/p>\n<p>then sprinkle paprika over the pieces.<\/p>\n<p>Brown one side and then turn over and gently sprinkle<\/p>\n<p>some more paprika on top.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/004.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none;
