{"id":3558,"date":"2011-01-17T19:34:39","date_gmt":"2011-01-17T23:34:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/?p=3558"},"modified":"2011-01-17T19:34:39","modified_gmt":"2011-01-17T23:34:39","slug":"a-kitchen-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.heidiannie.com\/?p=3558","title":{"rendered":"A Kitchen post"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/005.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"005\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/005_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"005\" width=\"488\" height=\"328\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My friend Celia, <a href=\"http:\/\/figjamandlimecordial.com\/\">over at Fig Jam and Lime Cordial<\/a> often shows some of<\/p>\n<p>the riches of her kitchen in a series called \u201cIn my kitchen\u201d.\u00a0 It is a lot of<\/p>\n<p>fun looking at all her exotic and fun items.\u00a0 I thought, since right now I<\/p>\n<p>have much of the bounty that Meredith brought back, I, too, would put up<\/p>\n<p>some of the items in MY kitchen!<\/p>\n<p><em>Above I have oils and vinegars-\u00a0 Australian Pukara Estate oils \u2013truffle,grove gourmet and<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>a triple pepper- plus two pomegranate balsamic vinegars and a dark sweet cherry<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Balsamic!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/008.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"008\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/008_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"008\" width=\"501\" height=\"335\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have Japanese noodles, smoked salmon from Washington,and a very savory mix of<\/p>\n<p>of curry and mushrooms- written only in Japanese- so I\u2019m only <em>pretty<\/em> sure that the<\/p>\n<p>vegetable is a mushroom.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/010.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"010\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/010_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"010\" width=\"488\" height=\"327\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Take a closer look at the smoked King Salmon from Seattle Pike Place Market!<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m looking forward to some good sandwiches with these babies!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/012.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"012\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/012_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"012\" width=\"501\" height=\"335\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>A collection of pesto and sauces- all in Italian- mushroom, pepper, olive,etc.- I<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>intend to make my own pasta for these or maybe some fresh Italian bread for <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>dipping! <\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/013.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"013\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/013_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"013\" width=\"387\" height=\"579\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These lovely bottles contain olive oil.<\/p>\n<p>Mostly in Italian with pithy English translations-<em> (Of course- for the <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>pasta-, Using mainly in Neapolitan cookery, and, my favorite- <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>for make witty<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>a candid pasta)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>That last one has olives on a skewer and oregano, basil, and assorted<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>peppers and spices nestled in the bottom!\u00a0 For make witty!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/014.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"014\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/014_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"014\" width=\"385\" height=\"575\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em> I also have many assorted Japanese sauces to go with those <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>noodles.\u00a0 The yellow labeled one is called aji-pan and has a <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>wonderful citrusy light flavor!\u00a0 It goes very well with a splash <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>of rice oil as a salad dressing !<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/015.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"015\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/015_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"015\" width=\"486\" height=\"325\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last night I made Kalua pig and pulled it to go on these yummy Semolina BBQ<\/p>\n<p>rolls with Dixie Grill Sauce from Oahu!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"002\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/002_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"002\" width=\"488\" height=\"327\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also made these delicious Swedish ginger cookies!<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t remember whose blog I got the recipe from- if you recognize them,<\/p>\n<p>let me know.\u00a0 They are fantastic- and no cinnamon!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/072.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"072\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/072_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"072\" width=\"421\" height=\"629\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Allyson got me this wonderful thigamatropic straw broom!<\/p>\n<p>I love brooms- I love twisted handles-this makes me smile!<\/p>\n<p>(and I\u2019m sweeping the floor more than once a day!)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/091.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"091\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/091_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"091\" width=\"421\" height=\"282\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In my kitchen, I have this nifty new frame for digital pictures!\u00a0 I love<\/p>\n<p>it!
