25<\/sup> I am laid low in the dust; I haven\u2019t posted a psalm lately. I\u2019ve been away from home-<\/em><\/p>\n busy with holiday and preparations- not good excuses- but reasons<\/em><\/p>\n for my neglect. Not posting doesn\u2019t mean that I haven\u2019t been thinking<\/em><\/p>\n about the Word and it\u2019s relation to me. And the psalm I have been<\/em><\/p>\n thinking about is 119. The longest- but divided into smaller portions that <\/em><\/p>\n make it easier to contemplate.-<\/em><\/p>\n And- quite honestly \u2013 I\u2019ve been looking at it from the bottom up.<\/em><\/p>\n Running in the path of God\u2019s<\/strong> commands is intriguing to me. I AM NOT<\/em><\/p>\n A RUNNER. I walk, I ride my exercise bike, I do low impact stretching and <\/em><\/p>\n yoga \u2013 but I don\u2019t even consider running. But running in God\u2019s path- now, that<\/em><\/p>\n I\u2019m interested in trying. <\/em><\/p>\n I am no great bargain in the servant sense. These verses describe me pretty<\/em><\/p>\n well- laid low- found wanting- needing teaching- I\u2019ve lacked understanding<\/em><\/p>\n and am prone to deceit. <\/em><\/p>\n BUT- I have set my heart on God\u2019s laws. that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds.

strengthen me according to your word.

be gracious to me and teach me your law.
30<\/sup> I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set my heart on your laws.
31<\/sup> I hold fast to your statutes, LORD;
do not let me be put to shame.
