{"id":320,"date":"2009-10-04T21:46:48","date_gmt":"2009-10-05T01:46:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/?p=320"},"modified":"2009-10-04T21:46:48","modified_gmt":"2009-10-05T01:46:48","slug":"on-the-waterfront","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.heidiannie.com\/?p=320","title":{"rendered":"On the Waterfront"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/Apples-and-Aidan-025.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px\" height=\"264\" alt=\"Apples and Aidan! 025\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/Apples-and-Aidan-025_thumb.jpg\" width=\"351\" border=\"0\"><\/a> <\/p>\n<p> Have I ever mentioned I&#8217;m an <strike>old<\/strike> classic movie buff?<\/p>\n<p>I love the old black and whites especially.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, we walked down to this pond at the apple orchard and checked out the swans.&nbsp; They were a little ruffled to have us come up on them unaware and they are so ungainly and awkward out of water that I was almost embarrassed for them.<\/p>\n<p>But it wasn&#8217;t until we went on our hay ride that I truly appreciated this pond.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/Apples-and-Aidan-084.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px\" height=\"310\" alt=\"Apples and Aidan! 084\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/Apples-and-Aidan-084_thumb.jpg\" width=\"413\" border=\"0\"><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>I wish I was a better photographer- but this peach tree was planted on the far side of the pond in the above picture- and if you look carefully, you can see the broken branch laying on the ground.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>When we got closer and we could see the variety of the tree, I could almost hear Marlon Brando&#8217;s voice in my ear.<\/p>\n<p>The name of the tree- <em><strong><u>CONTENDER<\/u><\/strong>!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8221; I could have been a contender!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Have I ever mentioned I&#8217;m an old classic movie buff?
