Halfway down the stairs<\/h3>\n

Halfway down the stairs
\nIs a stair where I sit:
\nThere isn’t any other stair quite like it.
\nI’m not at the bottom,
\nI’m not at the top:
\nSo this is the stair where I always stop.<\/p>\n

Halfway up the stairs
\nIsn’t up, and isn’t down.
\nIt isn’t in the nursery, it isn’t in the town:
\nAnd all sorts of funny thoughts
\nRun round my head:
\n“It isn’t really anywhere! It’s somewhere else instead!”<\/p>\n

I love this poem by A.A. Milne!<\/p>\n

When I was a little girl, we had a record with this song on it and I fell in love with it and him, then.\u00a0 I have always been a halfway down the stairs kind of girl!<\/p>\n

I was mentioning this poem to a friend once, and she said, ” Oh , you mean that Muppet song that the little frog sang on The Muppet Show?”<\/p>\n

NO- I mean the A.A. Milne poem that he wrote for his son, Christopher Robin!<\/p>\n
