For the director of music.<\/h6>\n
A psalm of David.<\/h6>\n

1<\/sup> O LORD, our Lord,
       how majestic is your name in all the earth!
       You have set your glory
       above the heavens. <\/p>\n

2<\/sup> From the lips of children and infants
       you have ordained praise
       because of your enemies,
       to silence the foe and the avenger. <\/p>\n

3<\/sup> When I consider your heavens,
       the work of your fingers,
       the moon and the stars,
       which you have set in place, <\/p>\n

4<\/sup> what is man that you are mindful of him,
       the son of man that you care for him? <\/p>\n

5<\/sup> You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
       and crowned him with glory and honor. <\/p>\n

6<\/sup> You made him ruler over the works of your hands;
       you put everything under his feet: <\/p>\n

7<\/sup> all flocks and herds,
       and the beasts of the field, <\/p>\n

8<\/sup> the birds of the air,
       and the fish of the sea,
       all that swim the paths of the seas. <\/p>\n

9<\/sup> O LORD, our Lord,
       how majestic is your name in all the earth! <\/p>\n

I love this psalm.  It is filled with praise and love and the songs of joy from the lips of children.  <\/strong> <\/p>\n

It helps us identify our place in the universe and speaks of God’s abiding love for us.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

And it fills my heart with joy to read and sing it, today.<\/strong> <\/p>\n
