Oh, loveliness incarnate, especially <\/em><\/p>\n

          round the spout,<\/em><\/p>\n

Divinest that ever poured<\/em><\/p>\n

          afternoon tea out!<\/em><\/p>\n

Thy form embodies beauty, yet thy<\/em><\/p>\n

          base is balanced, too,<\/em><\/p>\n

Small wonder that my heart is<\/em><\/p>\n

caught and held by your brew!<\/em><\/p>\n

You did not cost my savings and<\/em><\/p>\n

         undoubtedly you’re good;<\/em><\/p>\n

Your children, too, the cups and <\/em><\/p>\n

  plates, I welcome as I should!<\/em><\/p>\n

There’s breed, my dear, about you,<\/em><\/p>\n

            flush of colour I adore.<\/em><\/p>\n

And yet, you know, I picked you up<\/em><\/p>\n

           in a famous store.<\/em><\/p>\n

Each time we part I pray, sweet, as<\/em><\/p>\n

your countenance is hid, That never<\/em><\/p>\n

shall I hear those words, “Please<\/em><\/p>\n

mum, I’ve smashed the lid!”<\/em><\/p>\n
