{"id":1169,"date":"2010-01-12T22:57:44","date_gmt":"2010-01-13T02:57:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/?p=1169"},"modified":"2010-01-12T22:57:44","modified_gmt":"2010-01-13T02:57:44","slug":"thoughts-of-life-and-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.heidiannie.com\/?p=1169","title":{"rendered":"Thoughts of life and death."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/Christmas-morning-and-group-pics-092.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px\" height=\"338\" alt=\"Christmas morning and group pics 092\" src=\"http:\/\/heidiannie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/Christmas-morning-and-group-pics-092_thumb.jpg\" width=\"450\" border=\"0\"><\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>My brother, Gary, died today.<\/p>\n<p>He is the third of my siblings to die.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>He has been sick for such a long time.<\/p>\n<p>His death did not come as a surprise.<\/p>\n<p>I am feeling the loss.&nbsp; Sad because we were not as close as I would have liked, sorry for my part of the distance, and wondering why it isn&#8217;t easier to have relationships with people you love.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m thankful that he said that he had made peace with God.&nbsp; I&#8217;m not really sure what that meant &#8211; he never did speak much about spiritual matters to me. ( I was his &#8220;little&#8221; sister and there was always those years between us.)<\/p>\n<p>I just wanted to say goodbye in a tangible way.&nbsp; To somehow offer out a statement of memorial for a man who mattered to me.&nbsp; I was never sure how much I mattered in his life, but in many ways his life helped to shape mine.<\/p>\n<p>Please pray for his wife, sons and grandchildren- he loved them very tangibly and their loss will be great.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My brother, Gary, died today.
